This summer, MTSDES is excited to partner with Penn Medicine to empower students to explore the world of healthcare through engaging, interactive activities focused on safety, wellness, and emergency response. This program is designed to build real-world skills while encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence.  Stay tuned for additional program details throughout the spring!

🧬 MTSD Med Lab: Building Future Heroes ☀️ July 27-31 🩺

8:00 AM -10:00 AM (GR 3-5) | 10:30 AM 12:30 PM (GR 6-8)

 

🩺 Grades 3-5 🩺

The MedLab Workshop | Working in teams, students will explore medical tools and participate in simulated safety scenarios to learn how to stay calm and helpful during everyday health situations.

 

Penn Medicine On-Site Visit | Penn Med professionals will visit our lab one of the days to lead a First Aid Basics session, teaching students how to identify injuries and the proper "Dos and Don ts" of providing help.

 

 

🚑 Grades 6-8 🚑

The MedLab Simulation | Students will step into professional roles to solve medical "cold cases" and work together to navigate simulated emergency scenarios in a controlled, collaborative environment.

 

Penn Medicine On-Site Visit | Penn Med professionals will join us one of the days to facilitate CPR Awareness Training.
